“Kab aayega August?! Why is this month not ending, yaar?” We know what you are thinking. Relax, we’ve not magically turned into mind-readers suddenly. But, we know what you’ve been thinking for a while now, ‘coz girl, same! We are desperately waiting for August 8 as that’s when everything in our lives will become ‘over the top’. Getting it? We bet you are! We’re talking about Bigg Boss OTT that will premiere on Voot in just less than two weeks.
If you’re finding these 11 days (seems like years, no?) extremely painful, then welcome to the club. But thankfully, the makers have promised us that the wait is going to be worth it and we totes agree. For starters, the reality show will continue for not three or four, but six months. That’s right, half a year of insane entertainment and drama, and NGL, we might cry with happiness RN!
Well, while we are loving this new rule, there’s someone who is a little apprehensive about it. We’re talking about Bigg Boss 11 runner-up and last season’s Toofani Senior, Hina Khan.
During a recent interaction with paps, the actress said that while she’s happy about the rule, she feels sad for the gharwalas as well. “Bigg Boss khatam hota tha toh sabko dukh hota tha, abhi 6 mahina dekho Bigg Boss (Everyone feels sad when Bigg Boss ends. Now watch it for six months). I seriously feel for the contestants, my heart goes out for all the contestants. 6 months!”
Honestly, we totes get you, Hina! Staying cooped up in a house for so many months is not an easy task especially when you’re playing a game. But well, BB has always been about challenging your mental strength and we hope that the gharwalas are prepared for it. They might have an idea of what they’re getting themselves into, given that we all have been staying inside our homes for a while now.
Oh BTW, we hope that you are aware by now that Salman Khan will not be hosting the OTT version of the show? ICYMI, Karan Johar is stepping in as the new host of Bigg Boss OTT for the initial six weeks. While talking about it, Hina said, “Very good, I’m super excited yaar. I’m always a Karan Johar fan, I’m waiting for how’s he going to do it. I’m so excited.”
So are we and KJo himself. While talking to a leading daily, he said, “My mom and I are huge Bigg Boss fans and wouldn’t miss it for a day. As a viewer, it keeps me hugely entertained with dollops of drama. For decades now, I have always enjoyed hosting shows and now with Bigg Boss OTT… it will surely be Over the Top. It’s my mother’s dream come true. Bigg Boss OTT will undeniably have a lot more sensational and dramatic. I hope I can live up to the audience’s and my friends’ expectations, make Weekend Ka Vaar with the contestants an enjoyable affair in my own style and up the ante on the entertainment quotient. Wait for it!”
Doing nothing else, but waiting for you KJo! Ab aa bhi jao!
