Since week one, Bigg Boss 16 contestants Tina Dutta and Shalin Bhanot have shared an interesting bond. Their relationship grew from strength to strength with each passing week. And both have often been spotted on several occasions pulling each other’s leg while having each other’s backs during conflicts. However, their friendship soon took an interesting turn when Shalin confessed his feelings for her to Gautam Vig in week two. Here, take a look at the clip:
But to our surprise, in yesterday’s episode, Shalin and Tina’s relationship took a hit. Shalin was upset with Tina as she conspired with MC Stan against him.
On the same day, MC Stan had also expressed to Shalin that Tina had other plans in the game and that she is saying terrible things about him, making him second-guess his relationship with her. The two tried to squash their differences by talking it out at the end of the episode. But there was no resolution and Tina ended the conversation in tears.
Since their fight in the BB house, netizens have taken to social media to discuss the issue. Unlike other conflicts, where BB fans have taken sides between those involved in the fight, many viewers now have dismissed the entire altercation calling it “fake”. That’s right, several viewers have pointed out that the relationship between Shalin and Tina lacks genuine emotion and their on-screen bond feels forced and unreal. They also shared in the comment section of BB promo videos how they feel that the two are putting up an act to get more votes from the viewers.
One Instagram user wrote, “Wahhh kya acting hai👏👏😂😂.” While another user commented, “Game started😂😂😂 17 days main kaisa payar hota hain yr….ay kiya bakoyas pana hain..pls dono ko bahar nikalo😂😂😂😂 oh God very irritated with their fake love story.” Netizens on Twitter too expressed their disappointment with the show and the many fake love angles the contestants are fabricating and forcing on the viewers. While we don’t know for sure if Tina and Shalin are faking their relationship, we have to agree with the audience that their bond does come off as a little too much, at times. Their OTT gestures and overly emotional fights have us wondering if their feelings are genuine. But guess, we have to wait for a few more weeks to pass coz’ only time will tell.
