The 76th Golden Globe Awards concluded today, I am sure you know all about them thanks to Instagram, and once again we saw the glamorous world of Hollywood come together to felicitate the jobs well done. Speaking of jobs well done, there was one and only Indian celebrity there (no, not Priyanka Chopra) at the awards and she has been making headlines ever since her appearance on the red carpet. It was her first award function in Hollywood and we are impressed, rather proud of the outfit she chose for it, which was also the first time this outfit was seen at the Golden Globes.
Yes, we are talking about former Miss India (2010) and actress, Manasvi Mamgai.

She sizzled the red carpet in a saree adding to the list of ‘first times’ for India on an International scale. This light pink sheer saree had stunning embroidery on the hemline and pallu, a strappy and backless blouse with a satin finish, and Manasvi carried a quirky box clutch of the same colour to bring the look together.
In an interview with a popular media house, Manasvi said, “It is the first award function in the award season in Hollywood and it’s also my first international red carpet and award function so I wanted to do something Indian. Celebrate India! So I chose to wear a saree. And everyone here went crazy! They have never seen a saree at the Golden Globes. I got a lot of great press and a lot of Hollywood actors came and asked me who I was and what I was wearing.”
Manasvi took to Instagram and posted some pictures of her day, right from what she ate before heading out to a car selfie (that’s so all of us) to finally, the red carpet.
It is true, our paranthas do have lucky properties mixed in the dough. Mom was right! No wonder Manasvi looked totally glam on the red carpet.
She kept her makeup dewy and natural too with a thin eyeliner, mascara, and pretty pink lipstick. Of course, a car selfie is a must, isn’t it now?
Let’s just say, good decision, Manasvi. Good decision!

You must have seen Manasvi in Action Jackson where she made her debut in Bollywood opposite Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, and Yami Gautam. Currently, she is involved in a few Bollywood as well as Hollywood projects. Other than that, Manasvi is the Vice Chairperson at the Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC), USA, which is the brainchild of her father Mr Shalabh Kumar.
The supermodel’s modelling and political career is quite commendable, we must say. And we don’t expect her films to be anything below that. Thanks for bringing a part of India to the Golden Globes, Manasvi.
