“Bihar ka bewagpan aur Bengal ki adaa…” you have been hearing this line for some time now if you are an avid Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 follower. But this line finally got a face this weekend when Ekta Kapoor launched the introduction teaser for Komolika. And it is none other than Hina Khan! From Akshara to Komolika, Hina’s TV journey has been a reality show in itself.
But unlike the old Komolika, played by Urvashi Dholakia, who dressed up in sarees with a side of wicked, the new age Komolika dresses in bold lehengas and backless blouses. Here, check out first look of Hina Khan as Komolika.

Hina Khan is wearing a monochrome lehenga choli minus the dupatta (because screw elegance) with bulky oxidised jewellery and a lot of it. Think of all the fashion cliches you can incorporate in your Indian wear and you will find it on Komolika’s OOTD/OOTN. Yes, she is wearing it everywhere. Probably sleeps in it too!
Here’s a break down of the teaser featuring Komolika and her quirks.

In her opening act, Hina Khan is seen getting out of a red convertible, and we see her feet first. Cliche number 1 – heeled juttis (say what?) with a chunky shell anklet.

The next shot is of her back(less) choli which has two tie-up fastenings. This must be the “Bihar ka bewagpan” they keep talking about.

Coming to the accessories, she is wearing oxidised shoulder dusters, a statement nose ring and necklace, and metal cuffs in both her arms. And if you go back to the first few images, you can also spot a matching belt around her waist.

In the final scene, however, we see a dupatta magically appear on her shoulder and a shining navel stud too. So, all in all, apart from poor editing, this is what we thought about her look as Komolika. What do you think? Crush or crash?
