I woke up at 5 am to watch the 65th Annual Grammy Awards and it was worth it. I love taking notes on what lipstick shades celebrities wore, how they did their hair, and which designer outfit they picked!
While I sat staring wide-eyed at how amazing Beyonce’s hair looked or how Cardi B paired muted makeup with her OTT gown, I decided to share my favourite looks with y’all.

Beyonce Flaunted Glowy Bronze Makeup
Starting with Queen Bey herself, the high-slit skirt is stealing the show. But Beyonce’s crinkled hairdo in shades of caramel solidifies her status as the OG Beauty queen. Her hairstylist, Neal Farinah, added a wet finish to make it look all the more glamorous. Her glowy bronze makeup truly stitched the whole look together and I recommend using the Huda Beauty Glowish Soft Radiance Bronzing Powder for similar results.
Beyonce wore a Gucci gown. Those leather gloves and metallic skirt paired with a champagne-coloured corset added so much drama to her outfit.
J.Lo Served High-Shine Elements
J.Lo’s makeup for the Grammy Awards 2023 was all about high shine. Her MUA, Mary Phillips ensured Lopez dazzles in golden eyeshadow, glitzy highlights, and glossy lips. Gloss is my staple too and I use the POPxo Makeup Lip Gloss Kit – Glazed for a similar high-shine pout!
J.Lo’s navy Gucci gown had a gorgeous drape of rhinestone tassels and pleated ruffles. The necklaces on J.Lo’s plunging neckline were the Bulgari Serpenti diamond necklaces that have been making headlines for a while now.
Cardi B’s Cobalt Look Has A Separate Fandom
I noticed hints of blue kohl on the inner corners of her dramatic smokey eyes. Erika La’ Pearl, Cardi’s MUA, took her blue kohl to the centre of her lower lashline. The rest of her makeup followed a taupe theme. Her lips were lined with a shade of dark brown and then filled with gloss. Her black stiletto nails complemented the whole look. I use the Warrior Princess press-on nails by Soezi.
Cardi B wore Indian designer Gaurav Gupta’s couture gown in cobalt. While a sculptured silhouette is a signature Gaurav Gupta design, Cardi B’s sheer hood was everything extra I was expecting from the rapper.
Camila Cabello Picked A Romantic Look
The singer-songwriter’s makeup artist, Ash K Holm gave her a soft yet sultry glamm for Grammy Awards 2023. Camila‘s eye makeup added so much character to her whole look. The soft wavy hairdo and curtain bangs added to the romantic flair. Holm used this cult-favourite L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara on Cabello and I have ordered it already.
Camila wore a two-piece gown to the Grammy Awards, 2023. The bralette on top was a handcrafted piece by PatBo and was paired with a black bodycon skirt and strappy black heels.
Taylor’s Love For OTT Is Obvious
Taylor Swift looked breathtaking as she walked down the carpet showing off her red lips. I hope it’s Ruby Woo, so I can wear it too. From the bun hairstyle with her signature fringes to her red lipstick, I find everything about this look to be quintessentially Taylor. Her dark blue smokey eye makeup compliments the outfit she picked.
Another glamorous two-piece design was worn by Taylor Swift. The glittery blue Roberto Cavalli outfit with shoulder pads and full sleeves was in sync with her album, Midnights’ theme.
I’m definitely gonna try to cop at least one of these looks, WBY?
