When the memo says style icon then you gotta put your best fashion foot forward.
Bollywood Hungama Style Icon Awards was held in Mumbai on 25th March 2023. The event saw an array of B-town stars who made sure to turn up the glamm meter with their fashionable fits. But while some stars dazzled me with their outfits, there were others who left me unimpressed.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at all the hits and misses from the event.
Hits
Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma left us gasping with her two-piece attire by Toni Maticevski. After stunning us at the recent sports event, the diva made sure to keep up with the glamm. I like the modest top that she wore with a tight high-slit skirt. She added diamond jewels from Bulgari and embellished heels to complete her look. Her neat bun and clean makeup perfectly matched her outfit. 10/10
Vani Kapoor
Vani Kapoor is one of the most underrated gems of the industry who never fails to impress us with her sartorial choices. And this time too it was no different. The Befirkre actress stunned in a Shivan and Narresh embellished gown that perfectly accentuated her hot bod. Her fluttery lashes, dewy makeup, and emerald earrings tied the whole look together.
Janhvi Kapoor
Looks like Janhvi and her love for all-thing bling is never-ending. After giving us some jaw-dropping looks last year, the diva is back at it and this time again she served yet another lewk at the event. The Mili actress wore a sequin gown with a large cut-out on the side from Itrh and looked stunning. And the thigh-high slit added an extra dose of oomph! I love how she completed her look with a high pony and her signature dewy makeup.
Malaika Arora
Can Malaika ever disappoint us with her looks? I think not! Continuing her love for backless dresses, Malla donned a black backless gown by Monot for the event. Her dress also featured a high slit at the back, which added the right amount of oomph to her OOTN. And brownie points for her dominatrix hairstyle that added chaar chand to her outfit!
Rashmika Mandanna
Fashion graph of Rashmika Mandanna keeps on going up and down. But this time the Saami Saami actress didn’t disappoint. For the event, Rashmika wore a straight-fit black and bling gown. She added a stack of diamond bracelets to complete her look. And her on-fleek makeup and hair stole the show for me.
Misses
Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon seldom misses the mark with her fashionable fit but this time it missed by an inch. For the event, the Mimi actress wore a Namrata Joshipura gown. The blingy blue bustier and the velvet skirt are definitely not working. And those opera black gloves kinda feel off with the kohled eye makeup. Her wet hair glamm couldn’t save the look either. A big no-no!
Nikki Tamboli
Hey Nikki, you so fine – but not this time! The ex-Bigg Boss contestant wore a contemporary blingy saree from Dimple Shroff. But that blouse and the length of her skirt are totally off-putting. Even her charm couldn’t save the outfit.
Tejasswi Parakash
Honestly, the yellow hue looks great on Tejasswi but the gown is just not working for her. Though the long trail and thigh-high slit make it look like a red-carpet dress, those wrinkles all-over are a total mood spoiler. Also what’s with those purple earrings?
Shehnaaz Gill
Deepika’s Oscar look was iconic and looks like her black velvet gown with opera gloves started a trend. Case in point – Shehnaaz’s red carpet outfit. But the Room 24 gown is not working for her. And her makeup and wet hair look further took away her points. TBH, Shehnaaz’s stylist could have done better!
