Farhan Akhtar Reveals Why Ranveer Singh Is The Perfect Fit For Don 3

Bollywood fans are protective of their favourite films. So, whenever there is a remake, there is often a massive uproar on social media. That’s exactly what happened when Farhan Akhtar announced Don 3 featuring Ranveer Singh. Eyebrows were raised in no time, questioning the actor’s ability to take on such an iconic role.

Recently, Farhan opened up about his decision to cast Ranveer as Don in the third part of the franchise. He said, “Ranveer is amazing. He’s great for the part. He’s also, as you can imagine, really excited and really nervous, about the thing you’re filling some big shoes before you. But we went through the same emotional process when Shah Rukh did it and everyone was like ‘Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?.’That whole thing happened then.“

Farhan added that the film is really is about an actor coming in and owning the part. It is about giving the character their style and their flair. “He has that, he has that in spades. So, he is going to do a great job. I think the responsibility is more mine now to make sure that the script and the film work out the way I imagine,” concluded the filmmaker.

IMO, Ranveer is one of the most versatile stars of his generation. He can be suave when the role calls for it and I am sure he will kill it as don.
