Can you hear wedding bells ringing? Well, it seems like they are ringing for the Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. Buzz has it that Mahira is gearing up to exchange vows in September 2023 for the second time and her fans are super excited for the same.
Mahira, who made her acting debut with Bol and Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, is all set to tie the knot with her longtime beau Salim Karim. Reports suggest that the couple will be hosting an intimate wedding with only close friends and family in attendance. And their wedding festivities will reportedly take place at a hill station in Pakistan’s Punjab. However, the actress is yet to confirm the khuskhabri.
Who Is Salim Karim?
Reportedly, Salim is the CEO of a Karachi (Pakistan) based startup, Simpaisa. It is a network carrier billing company. He is also a DJ. The reports further state that Mahira was first spotted with Karim in 2017 at the launch of a TV application, Tapmad TV.
However, it was early this month when Mahira officially talked about their relationship during an Instagram live stream. When she was asked about Salim, Mahira said, “There’s a line in ‘Humsafar,’ which I thought was beautiful, where Ashar says to Khirad, ‘Pata nahi tum mujhe kis neiki kay badlay main miley ho (I don’t know what I did right to deserve you). I think the same about him.”
For the unversed, Mahira was previously married to Ali Askari and they got a divorce in 2015. They also have a son named Azlan.
