Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes’s sizzling chemistry in Kasautti Zindagii Kay 2 had us all convinced that the two were dating for the longest time. However, the rumours died down in June last year when Erica revealed that she had been dating someone else for three years, and that her partner wasn’t from the entertainment industry. Well, we’ve been waiting to know more about her mystery man since, but it looks like we may never get to. It turns out that Erica has broken up with him and is now single.
During an interview recently, the actress opened up about her relationship. She shared, “It was kind of an off-and-on relationship that I had for about three and a half years. But, it didn’t work. People comment on why have I never mentioned who was my boyfriend at that point in time. Because I have never mentioned anybody’s names before because that’s respect.”
She further added that the post-breakup phase was not easy, but she has learnt her lesson. “I have fallen twice and become stronger. And that has made me a very strong person. So, the next person, I know I’m not going to have someone who takes me for granted.” That makes a whole lotta sense. There’s absolutely no point in being with someone who doesn’t appreciate and value what they have.
Here’s hoping that Erica is in a much better place now—she deserves someone who truly values and appreciates her.
