Dolly Jain’s Journey
Dolly married into a family where she was required to wear a saree daily. This used to take her around 45mins to drape every morning. Initially, she hated wearing a saree but as time went by, she fell in love with it. She used to get loads of compliments for her style of draping and much later in life she decided to take it up as a full-time career.
Did you know legendary actress Sridevi was her first client? Once Dolly was invited to a party and Sridevi happened to be a part of it too. The actress spilled a drink on herself and Dolly insisted to help her drape her saree again. Sridevi was so impressed with her skills that she suggested Dolly take it up as a career.
Kudos to Dolly for keeping the magic of our traditional drape alive!
