DIY Lipstick Ideas That You Have To Try
With just a bunch of ingredients, you can make yourself a stunning new lipstick that not only enhances your pout but is also one of a kind. Are you ready to DIY?
DIY Organic Lipstick
You’ll Need:
- Shea butter
- Beeswax pastilles
- Coconut oil
- Add-ons (beetroot powder, cocoa powder, etc.)
- Bowl
- Wooden spoon
- Empty lipstick container
- Any essential oil
Step 1: In a bowl, add 1 tbsp. beeswax pastilles, 1 tbsp. coconut oil and 1 tbsp. shea butter.
Step 2: Microwave everything for about 30 seconds and once the mixture turns liquidy, mix everything together using the wooden spoon.
Step 3: Finally, it’s time to add some hue to your ultra-moisturising lipstick. You can use beetroot powder for a reddish tone, cocoa powder to make a brown lipstick or even mix them together. Just make sure you do not add more than a pinch!
Other ingredients to add some colour to your DIY lipstick: turmeric powder, cinnamon powder or you can mix and match for a custom shade!
Step 4: Lastly, add a few drops of any essential oil into the mix and then transfer it into the empty lipstick container.
Step 5: Freeze it for 1-2 hours and voila, your very own organic lipstick is now ready to be a superstar in all your selfies!
DIY Metalllic Lipstick
You’ll Need:
- Eyeshadow pigments
- Wooden spoon
- Petroleum jelly
- Bowl
- Empty lipstick tube
Step 1: In a bowl, add 2 tbsp. petroleum jelly and put it in a microwave for 10-15 seconds.
Step 2: Carefully, add a pinch of colour pigments into the hot mix and stir it well. Add more if you if want an intense pigment.
Step 3: Mix everything well using a wooden spoon and then transfer it to an empty lipstick tube. Freeze it for an hour or so and your DIY metallic lipstick is ready to be shown off.

DIY Duo Lipstick
You’ll Need:
- Any two lipstick
- Any essential oil
- Ice cream stick
- Knife
- Bowl
- Empty lipstick container
Step 1: In a bowl, add a small portion of any lipstick (cut out the tip using a knife) and microwave it for 15 seconds to turn it into a liquid.
Step 2: Take any other lipstick shade and repeat.
Step 3: Now, take the ice cream stick and fit it inside an empty lipstick tube, right in the middle. Pour the ‘liquid’ lipstick on one side and put it in a freezer for about two hours.
Step 4: When your lipstick is half solid, gently remove the stick gently and pour the other liquid lipstick on the other side and freeze it too!
