Life in showbiz is not always filled with glamour and fun. Many a time, actors push themselves out of their comfort zone and attempt to do dangerous stunts or tasks which may put their life or health at risk. And yet, they never give up! Recently, one such epitome of dedication has been our Bollywood diva and Baaghi 2 actress Disha Patani, who despite getting injured on several occasions, refused to take a break and maintained solid perseverance.
The actress who was currently shooting for an action sequence in her upcoming film, Malang, had hurt her arm so severely that she required a certain amount of medical treatment for her wound immediately. A source close to an entertainment portal quoted, “Disha got hurt while shooting a sequence for Malang. The actress has received the required medical treatment and she is better now. Disha will resume shooting as per schedule.”
She will be seen performing high octane stunts in Malang for which she underwent rigorous training in swimming. Recently, she even took to Instagram to share a picture of herself with her co-star, Aditya Roy Kapur and was super happy with the experience!
However, this wasn’t the first time that Disha got injured while shooting for a movie. In her recent movie, Bharat, she played the character of a trapeze circus-artist for which she had to learn the art of acrobatics and gymnastics. She even opted to perform all the stunts in the movie herself and refused to get a body double.
Unfortunately, while performing one of the stunts, she sprained her knee. But the 27-year-old did not stop there and continued to shoot for the rest of the scenes irrespective of how dangerous and risky they seemed. She said, “This is among the toughest things I have done. I injured my knee while shooting and still had to do the flips, dance, jump the fire hoops, etc. In fact, my knee has still not recovered!”
Although everyone was extremely impressed by her undying perseverance, she was advised to take it a little easy and hence, a doctor was called on the sets as a standby to ensure that her knee injury didn’t get any worse. More power to you, Disha!
Her next movie, Malang, which is a romantic-thriller film, directed by Mohit Suri, will also star Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu and is expected to go on floors in March 2020. It will be shot in Mumbai, Goa and Mauritius.
