Pregnancy is supposed to be the most exciting time for a mom-to-be. Unfortunately, if you are a celeb this phase comes with a whole new set of challenges— dealing with nameless social media bullies. Recently, Dipika Kakar became the target of the trolls simply for not showing her baby bump. Internet users not only made a bunch of nasty comments about her but also called her pregnancy fake.
Can you imagine how heartbreaking it has been for Dipika to deal with such baseless attacks during pregnancy? In an interview, the actress talked about how people have accused her of using a pillow to fake a pregnancy bump.
Dipika said, “Either no one in their life has ever gotten pregnant. Or if these are women… I don’t understand this thought process. Just because I have not shown my bump to them openly, my pregnancy is fake. And I won’t show it. I don’t have to do such things to clarify such hollow accusations. ”
It is outrageous how people think it is okay to accuse a woman of faking her pregnancy for no reason. A woman should never be in a position to justify her body to anyone, let alone a bunch of strangers. My heart breaks for Dipika!
Dipika’s Post-Pregnancy Plans
Recently, Dipika surprised everyone by announcing her plans after welcoming her first child. In an interview, the actress said, “As my pregnancy journey began, I told Shoaib that I don’t want to work and want to quit acting. I want to live a life as a housewife and mother.”
Later Dipika shared a clarification about her statement and said that she might take some time off acting. But nothing is set in stone.
While Dipika is waiting for the arrival of her bundle of joy, the least social media users can do it let her enjoy this phase in peace. Every mom-to-be deserves it!
