After watching the first-day first show of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani and writing more than 10 stories on it, trust me when I say there’s a reason why fans are loving it so much. The movie, in a way, brought back those typical romantic moments that was missing from modern-day Bollywood cinema. While we were busy collecting the easter eggs in the Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer, we missed noticing that KJo cleverly cloned a scene from one of his 2000s gems. In RARKPK‘s end credit song, Kudmayi, Rocky Randhawa (Ranveer Singh) is seen bowing down to Rani Chatterjee (Alia Bhatt) during their varmala ritual, as a token of love. In a post that’s now going viral, a Twitter user pointed out that Kuch Kuch Hota Hai had a similar sequence where Rahul (SRK) came to propose to Tina (Rani Mukherjee) and bowed down to her with a rose in his hand. Back in 2022, Karan Johar appeared in a media interaction and shared how Alia and Ranveer often give him the vibes of SRK and Kajol of this generation. He said, “When Ranveer and Alia face the camera, you will see that chemistry because they’re buddies, they’re friends. That friendship results in chemistry.”
IMHO, full points to the makers for teleporting us to the 2000 era of Dharma and giving us the best trip down memory lane. Our inner child is kaafi khush. Manifesting a movie with SRK, Kajol, Alia, and Ranveer in it. KJo are you listening?
