Imlie is one of the most-talked-about shows on Indian television at the moment. The plot revolves around Aditya, Imlie and Malini, played by Gashmeer Mahajani, Sumbul Touqeer and Mayuri Deshmukh respectively. Their dramatic love triangle is quite problematic and the storyline is full of unpredictable twists. While the narrative is controversial, we have to say that the actors are doing a great job on the show. They have played their characters quite convincingly and impressed their fans thoroughly. That is why several viewers are disappointed ATM to learn that Gashmeer has quit the daily soap permanently.
While talking to a leading daily recently, the actor revealed that he would be replaced on the series soon. A little birdie tells us that Manasvi Vishisht, who was last seen in Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, will be taking his place. Interestingly, the producers did not want Gashmeer to leave the show, but the actor was firm on his decision.
Recently, the focus of the show has shifted to a new character, Aryan, played by Fahmaan Khan. Viewers are liking his on-screen chemistry with Sumbul and how their characters are developing their relationship gradually. Netizens are now wondering if the new track is the reason why Gashmeer quit the show. While the actor has not confirmed the rumours, he said that he has parted ways with his producer on an amicable note.
“The reason why I quit Imlie is known only to the producer Gul Khan and me. That will stay between us. But the parting was very amicable. In fact, Gul and I have already decided that we will work on some other project in the future. Who says I quit on a sour note? Not at all,” he said.
Gashmeer is a renowned actor in the Marathi film industry. According to a little birdie, he was unable to focus on other projects apart from Imlie and that was not sitting right with him. “It was quite clear from the first day that Gashmeer will continue to shoot for his Marathi films and for web alongside Imlie, to which the makers had agreed. But as the story progressed and the show started doing well, he was not able to take up other projects,” they added. But, the actor has denied these claims and said, “Also, it was never about my date issues. All the rumours about me not being able to give dates to the show are completely false.”
Well, whatever be the reason, we’re defs going to miss the OG Aditya’s chemistry with Imlie. But, we’re sure that great things are lined up for Gashmeer in the future.
