The Cannes Film Festival is currently taking the internet by storm. This year is a little extra special for us since we’ve got quite a few desi celebrities gracing the red carpet. While Aishwarya Rai caused quite a stir with her out-of-the-box looks, we have another Indian actress who is not afraid to experiment on the French red carpet!
Diana Penty is also gracing the French Riviera with her presence, and she is really not disappointing. The diva has experimented with everything from sequins and stones to OTT tassels and cropped blazers. But it’s her most recent outfit that has us speechless. For her fourth look, Diana wore a dress inspired by bubble wrap! Yes, you heard that right.
The eccentric yet stylish ensemble was designed by Lebanese fashion designer Saiid Kobeisy. The body-hugging midi dress featured dramatic mutton sleeves and was embellished all over with stones and pearls in the style of small flowers. Namita Alexander styled the ensemble fabulously by foregoing accessories and finishing it off with nude Enrico Cuini heels.
TBH, the 2023 Cannes Film Festival has us convinced that Diana Penty is a fashionista who deserves more recognition. Keep slaying, girl!
