Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding has (finally!) been confirmed (you don’t know? HOW? Here are the deets). So I thought we should list down all the designers that we think would look AMAZING on Deepika for her various wedding functions, but as luck would have it, a little bit of digging up brought us her trousseau wishlist on a platter. Deepika had already revealed what she was going to wear to her wedding ages ago to a leading magazine when she enthralled everyone with an amazing cover, dressed in Sabya none the less.

So here’s what DP’s trousseau would look like according to her.
1. Tarun Tahiliani Lehenga For The Wedding
We totally love the idea of this heavy set lehenga with floral detailing and texture. Of course incomplete without the adornment of bespoke Swarovski crystals!
2. Rohit Bal In White And Gold
Okay, we are CRUSHING hard on this saree and cape look. According to DP, she wanted Rohit Bal to create something in white and gold for her because the first time she was acquainted with him, the collection was white and gold and she remembered thinking that she wanted something similar. May we suggest this stunning piece for your cocktail, Deepika?
3. Saree By Sabyasachi
We know our lady absolutely loves Sabyasachi. Not only for his marvellous designs but also his Bengali aesthetic. This classic red matka silk saree would drape fabulously on DP we think!
4. Rich Anamika Khanna Outfit
It doesn’t get richer than this right? We also absolutely love the use of the classic bridal red. Weddings are just a little incomplete without them!
5. Chiffon By Manish Malhotra
She says her trousseau would be incomplete without a #ManishMalhotraSaree, so how about a dark one for a night function DP?
Well here is Deepika’s Trousseau right from the horse’s mouth. Would our suggestions have been different? Hell, NO! She covered the bases beautifully. Have your tastes changed through the years, Deepika? Well, I guess time will tell!
