Nothing pleases our hearts as much as seeing Indian designers on International red carpets. Deepika Padukone did just that on Day 1 of Cannes Film Festival 2022. We’d been eagerly waiting for her pics and we’re glad to report that it’s been worth our while. DP stepped out looking like a true queen in a head-to-toe Sabyasachi ensemble and if ‘starting with a bang’ were an outfit, it would be this!
Dil Garden Garden Ho Gaya, Literally
Deepika’s sharp look from Cannes Day 1 involved a beige and green Sabyasachi shirt and solid parakeet trousers. From the signature Sabyasachi bagh print shirt to the flared high-waist trousers, everything reminds us of peak 70s Bollywood glamm. DP’s printed tie-on hairband adds to the old-world charm. The uncut navratna stones and polki jewels tie everything together and bring some much-needed glitz to the OOTD. It is dramatic. It is edgy. It is Bollywood.
The use of winged-eyeliner here is *chef’s kiss*. Safe to say that DP has aced it with her outfit on Day 1 of Cannes and we can’t wait to see what’s more to come!
