After registering her starry presence on Day 1 of Cannes with back-to-back blockbuster looks, Deepika Padukone is back at it again. While yesterday was all about old-world Bollywood charm, the actress seems to be in a more contemporary mood today. Looking sharp in a tailored black co-ord set aka an updated power suit, DP nailed it yet again. Here’s why we are betting big on this one:
Power Dressing Done Right!
The international red carpet is no place to play safe and Deepika and her team definitely know that. After grabbing eyeballs with two dramatic looks on Day 1, her team is now unpacking sharp, subtle looks that resonate with the actress’s graceful persona. Her first look on Day 2 features an asymmetric pleated jacket paired with softly flared high-waist matching trousers. The coolest part? This silk co-ord set does not come from a legacy designer house but from a relatively smaller (and very new) French brand called ArdAzAei. This is a queen move and we take a bow!
Putting all of it together is the Cartier choker—the life and light of Deepika’s fit! There isn’t any other jewel in sight and we love the styling.
In the beauty department, the actress took a welcome break from her trusty nudes and went with a scarlet lippie. The messy updo too has our approval.
