Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone are two leading ladies of Bollywood who have had a long-standing feud. They have constantly taken a blow at each other in interviews and often don’t talk highly of one another in public. But when Deepika Padukone posted a video from the Cannes International Film Festival, Anushka Sharma made a gesture of friendship by commenting on Deepika Padukone’s hot pink gown at the red carpet.
While this cute gesture might have ended the cold war, there are some previous comments the actresses have made about each other which cannot be forgotten.
“I didn’t become an overnight star like Deepika Padukone. No one put me on the covers of magazines and called me the next big thing. No one said that ‘she is the one to look out for’ (laughs)… I stayed put, as I really wanted to act in films that I am proud of. I have acted only in seven films in six years and now I am considered one of the topmost actresses.” said Anushka in a media interview.
But all’s well that ends well!
