Dear Sajid Khan, You Are Not Abdu Rozik’s Father

Hi Sajid,

You’ve been disappointing us ever since you entered the Bigg Boss 16 house, and your streak continues. However, if there was one thing that I liked, it was your bond with Abdu Rozik. But congratulations, you’ve ruined that too! It was cute when you were his translator, and it was fun when you were his “long son,” but it’s downright irritating when you try to be his father.

Colors TV

I initially chose to give you the benefit of the doubt when you attempted to control or influence Abdu’s actions. But, in the last week, you’ve simply bullied the guy in the name of “protecting” him. We understand that you are concerned that Nimrit Kaur will break his heart. Should I remind you that you planted this idea in his mind? You began teasing him for his feelings. He is just a 19-year-old teenager. Do you remember when you were 19? Falling in love at 19 is a piece of cake.

Okay, let’s not blame you for Abdu falling in love with Nimrit. But could you please just leave that poor guy alone? You almost cornered him last night about this topic, and despite his repeated assurances that he understands, you just wouldn’t let it go. Abdu admitted that while he previously believed he had a chance with Nimrit, he now realises he does not. Even after that, you continued to chastise and humiliate him. You even caused a commotion when he gave Nimrit sugar for her tea. Sajid, at the very least, allow the two to continue their friendship, which is genuine and not pretentious like yours.

You say you feel like Abdu’s father, but you don’t let him express his feelings. You accused the 19-year-old of making the show about himself when all he wanted to do was participate in a task (something you find extremely difficult to do). You wouldn’t let him speak later when he tried to defend himself on this. In fact, you emotionally blackmailed him when you said, “If I’m your brother, just shake hands and end the conversation.” Are you serious?

The worst of it all was what you did to him on Nimrit’s birthday. It was your idea to make him dance shirtless for her, and it was your repugnant idea to write “I love tatti” on his back without his knowledge. Why are you making fun of a guy who is foreign to this country and is simply trying to make a name for himself despite the numerous obstacles he faces due to his physicality? The joke was only amusing to you and your “mandli,” who would rather support you in your pitiful ways than call you out. TBH, this is expected of a school-age child, not a 50-year-old man.

So, please, Mr. Director, stop treating Abdu like a child whose life you want to control. In his 19 years, he has accomplished far more than any of us could have imagined. He knows what he is doing. You are not his father, so please leave him alone.
