It all started in class eight. I remember my relatively ‘more experienced’ friends talking excitedly about the ‘blue film’ we were gonna watch that afternoon, after school. It sounded SO much more fun than tuitions – of course I had to go. One of their places was empty of all adult supervision for the afternoon, and another one’s boyfriend was on duty to deliver the prized CD to us, at home. So, it was all set.
The long day at school finally came to an end, and I found it hard to contain my excitement.To be honest, I did kinda expect the movie to be slightly bluish in color to hide it’s scandalous content. Because that was all I knew – that it had slightly scandalous content, something that adults did after the kiss, you know. So there I was at my friend’s place that afternoon, seated comfortably on her bed, with my pack of chips open, when the triple X porn started…and almost made me puke. You see, triple X is NOT meant for naive beginners, ‘coz for someone who is only learning about sex, um, blowjob and anal are too much to watch. Which is exactly what happened to me. The ‘blue film’ started with a woman giving a blowjob, and watching her enjoy what was in her mouth made me puke out what was in mine.
Well, that was my first brush with porn. But, I was quite lucky to have friends who didn’t leave it at that, and came back with a renewed agenda to initiate me into the world of porn.

And so the next time, they got me a porn movie with a sweet love story built around it, with many scenes of slow vanilla sex sprinkled just as frequently with long, tight hugs and kisses. And that, I liked.
That was all the start I needed, really. From there, with some help from my laptop, Google’s magical incognito window, and Youtube’s easy-to-fake above 18 verification – the world of possibilities, hitherto hidden from me, opened itself to me.
With time, however, I discovered something new about my own tastes in porn. Once, I accidentally opened up lesbian porn and I just couldn’t take my eyes off it. To be honest, I found it much more amusing and um, thrilling than the usual girl-boy drama. And since then, lesbian porn continues to be my favourite. I am still not a huge fan of blowjobs and anal, though. I guess first impressions do last long.

But my most exciting time watching porn, most definitely has to be when I watched it with my boyfriend. You see, when you’re watching it with your partner, you have the option of practising everything you’re learning right then. And no, there is no shame in it. Everybody is doing it – why else do you think the porn industry is flourishing like it is? Plus, don’t we always find videos much more helpful than the written word when it comes to learning a new skill – and isn’t that what porn is mostly about?
