We dedicated last evening to the FIFA World Cup finale and what an epic game it turned out to be! From Messi’s legendary win to the nail-biting penalty shoot outs, the match gave us memorable moments that will stay in our hearts for a long time to come. Kylian Mbappe turned the tables when Argentina was cruising to an easy 2-0 win and was just 10 minutes away from taking the trophy home. First, he converted a penalty from the spot in the 80th minute. Soon after, he fired in a volley to bring France on level terms. Mbappe power move made the final stretch beyond 90 minutes into extra time.

In the 108th minute of the extra-time, Messi fired his second goal of the match and Argentina was in lead. But France didn’t give up easily. Just two minutes away from full-time, France earned their second penalty. This let Mbappe step up and score the epic goal that let him complete his hat trick and bring the match to a tie yet again.

Just when we thought the match couldn’t get more intense, it was forced into penalty shoot-outs. Now, the fate of Argentina and France was sheerly in the hands of Emi Martinez and Hugo Lloris. In the penalty shoot-outs, Emi saved a kick from France’s Kingsley Coman. This was followed by a misfired penalty kick from Aurélien Tchouaméni. With Messi, Paulo Dybala, and Leandro Pardes all firing in their penalties and Coman and Tchouaméni misfiring, it was on the shoulders of Gonzalo Montiel to take the trophy home. In the most epic moment of the match, Montiel sent Lloris the wrong way and won the penalty shoot-out and the match for Argentina.

Before he got to lift the World Cup Trophy, Messi was dressed in the traditional Arab cloak by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. Videos from the felicitation are going viral now and the fans can’t stop watching it on repeat.
