Here’s Why I’m As Obsessed With The Cetaphil Moisturiser As Everybody Else

I’ve tried everything from body oils to butter to replenish hydration in my skin. But no matter what, every time winter comes around, I find myself repurchasing the Cetaphil Body Lotion. This time, to switch things around, I tried the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Body Lotion, a step up from the regular range.

What Is It?

The Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Body Lotion With Hyaluronic Acid+Vitamin E is designed for dehydrated skin. With ingredients like glycerine, hyaluronic acid, blue daisy extract, vitamin E, and sunflower seed oil, it promises to boost hydration by 50% from the first use and locks in moisture. It is also paraben-free and non-comedogenic making it perfect for sensitive skin.

Our Thoughts

With the first use itself, my skin drank this one up. It’s unscented, which makes it perfect for sensitive and irritated skin. While lotion has a thick consistency, it is not too creamy, so you know it won’t be too heavy on the skin. The formula is easy to spread and layer up. I particularly like to use a lot on my knees, feet, and elbows during the winter since these areas are often ignored and more prone to dryness.

While it promises hydration for up to 48 hours, I needed to reapply it on a few chilly days when my skin felt drier than usual. It also soothed the itchy feeling of extreme dryness during this season. It’s a fuss-free product that delivers what it claims and that’s why I can’t get enough of it.

While the price for this product may seem higher than what we’re used to for Cetaphil, I think it’s worth the money spent. One bottle of the Optimal Hydration Body Lotion lasted me a month and a half, and I’ve applied it over cuts, bruises, and scabs, and there have been no reactions.

How To Use It

Gently massage it into damp or dry skin after a shower.

What It Looks Like

Good To Know
Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, blue daisy extract, vitamin E and sunflower seed oil.
Great For Sensitive Skin: Paraben-free, non-irritating, non-comedogenic.

In Conclusion

Cetaphil is a brand we've all used since we were young and it's stood the test of time. The fact that the product continues to deliver on it's promises, is the only reason I keep going back to it when my skin needs plain old TLC.
