B-Town Rings In Gudi Padwa In The Finest Silk Sarees & We’ve Bookmarked Our Fav Looks

The positivity…the celebrations…the never-ending mithais…what do you think is the best thing about festivals in India? Well for me, the answer is pretty sorted. Of course, it is the festive dress-up that we get to indulge in during the celebrations. In fact, I distinctly remember having a phase when all I purchased was occasion wear for a year straight. Seriously! In fact, for me the ‘I don’t have anything to wear’ sob story is actually true. On most days, I literally don’t have anything to wear ‘coz my wardrobe is full of anarkalis and (please don’t laugh at me) God knows how many lehengas. Oh but I am going off-topic here…

Today, it’s Gudi Padwa and POPxo wishes you a very happy and blessed year ahead. So we are frantically scrolling our social media feeds to keep a proper check on our celebrities’ festive wardrobe. And I gotta say, we are mighty impressed. B-Town is celebrating the festival in the finest silks and we are busy bookmarking them all. Here’s everything you need to know about your favourite celebs’ Gudi Padwa looks.

Kangana Ranaut

The world knows about Kangana Ranaut’s love for Kanchipuram sarees and she opted for an onion pink beauty for Gudi Padwa as well. The luxurious piece featured a wide gold border and rain pink edging. This is easily fit enough to be a bridal saree. We love how the actress styled the saree with heavy gold jewellery, just like it is traditionally done.

Adding an individual touch to the look is Kangana’s trademark sleeveless blouse. Don’t miss out on her Brahmi nath and the tiny bindi that adds a subtle softness to the entire look. Also, brownie points for that pop of candy on her lips. Quite obviously, we are lovestruck!

Disha Parmar & Rahul Vaidya

Punjabi kudi Disha Parmar has fully adopted fiance Rahul Vaidya’s Marathi culture and her traditional green-red Paithani saree from the Gudi Padwa festivities is proof. The actress took to social media earlier today to share a video of her Gudi Padwa celebrations with her boo and we are in love.

The green saree is looking glorious on Disha and we love how she has added a touch of modernity to the look with her strappy blouse.

We are equally digging Rahul’s hand-woven kurta and think that it is the perfect separate for men who want to keep it understated yet festive!

Kajol

Keeping it traditional, Kajol opted for a navy blue handwoven saree complete with a wide red and gold zari border. From her bindi to her bangles, we are in awe of how the actress has managed to keep it so impactfully traditionally. Taking a bow!

Neha Kakkar & Rohanpreet Singh

This Gudi Padwa, #Nehupreet have clearly dressed up to steal the show and their flamboyant outfits are proof. Neha opted for a heavily embellished beige lehenga and a statement blouse featuring see-through long sleeves. Well, OTT but totally acceptable given that it is their first Gudi Padwa as a married couple.

Rohu is perfectly complimenting his wife’s look in a vibrant yellow kurta. However, especially on our fashion radar is the loafers-kurta pairing. Now, that’s some pretty good styling and we are quite impressed!

Bhumi Pednekar

Just like Disha, Bhumi opted for a red and green silk saree to celebrate Gudi Padwa. Well, that’s the thing with the traditional festive look–you can never have enough of it. That said, in case, silk sounds like too much to wear in the hot weather, we suggest this cotton Maheshwari by Fabindia for your summer festivities:

So fam, which one of these celeb looks are you bookmarking as your next festive outfit?
