Ever seen desi celebrities teaming up and coming up with their own unique theme for an international event? Looks like that’s exactly what happened at Cannes! For the Day 2 of the Cannes Film Festival, Indian divas dressed in a very coherent code. All of them choose monotone looks and went for a uniform black-and-white theme. NGL, it was kinda fun to watch. Here’s a lowdown on all the looks:
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan served not one, not two but three looks on the second day of Festival de Cannes and guess what? ALL OF THEM were black and white! She started off the day in a black Moschino gown. While the gown stood outfit for its quirky heart-shaped embellishments, it received mixed reviews.
Sara’s second look was an absolute winner though. It was a black and white Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree and looked stunning with its unique drape.
For look three, Sara wore a tailored ivory co-ord set with an embellished cape and looked chic.
Mrunal Thakur
Mrunal Thakur was the biggest surprise of the day in her black monokini paired with chantilly lace pants and a sequinned jacket. all black, of course! The look definitely left us asking for more:
Manushi Chillar
Manushi chose a black tulle gown for her second look at the Festival de Cannes 2023. While a definite upgrade from her first outfit, the sequinned gown looked average at best. A less embellished look could have worked better for her. We loved her gold pumps though!
Maybe, the black and white outfits were just a coincidence. But we’d like to believe that the desi divas did it on purpose. What do you say?
