Before there were fancy serums, oils, and elixirs that claim to turn back the clock and make your skin afresh, there was sunscreen. Can We Mix Face Oil With Sunscreen?

Sunscreen should always be applied after your facial oil. The purpose of sunscreen is to protect your skin against damaging UV light. If you apply facial oil on top of sunscreen, it will either not be absorbed or it will sink sunscreen into deeper layers of your skin. Bottom line: use face oil before sunscreen. As far as the mixing is concerned, any changes to the formula, including adding tint and/or oil could impact the way sunscreen formula spreads and dries, and in turn, impact the SPF protection provided by that formulation. If you let the sunscreen layer dry, you can apply other things, like makeup, on top. However, pre-mixing products with sunscreen before applying to the skin is something we would never advise on.
Which Oils Are Best To Use With Sunscreen?
There is a myriad of facial oils available in the market today. The modern-day facial oils are loaded with antioxidants, botanicals, and essential oil extracts which offer infinite skincare benefits. But if you’re looking for a natural facial oil, using avocado oil, olive oil, almond oil, shea butter, hemp seed oil, or sesame seed oil will do the trick.
Does Oil Dissolve Sunscreen?

When you mix an oil with an oil, they attract each other chemically. In other words, oil cleansers and oil are the best way to dissolve every last drop of sunscreen on your skin.
How To Apply Face Oil With Sunscreen?
You can use face oil both in the morning and night, the way you use any other moisturiser. But it’s best to apply them during day time. Face oils are not ideal to use in the morning because they may interfere with the daytime protection you need from your sunscreen.
