Dear reader, Lady Whistledown is making her grand return to our screens soon and NGL, our excitement knows no bounds! Season 2 of Bridgerton made us feel everything from going weak in the knees to heartbreak, and TBH we’re not complaining. And now with the official announcement that season 3 has begun shooting, our expectations are high! We can’t wait to witness more secrets, scandal, and of course, passion.
Earlier today, team Bridgerton released the cutest video and we know it’s going to be a hell of a season. The video features all the cast members, hinting at a new chapter. This of course includes Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), and Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton). In the end, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) says, “Brigerton season 3 filming has officially begun. Are you coming in?”. Yass…We’re literally counting days to catch up with the scandalous ton!
According to reports, in season 3 we will finally see Penelope enter the marriage market. She has given up her crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and looking for a man of honour to wed.
Not only this, but we will also get to see three new additions to the cast. Writers confirm that we will witness the movie magic of Daniel Francis playing the character of Marcus Anderson. He is described by the team as ‘a charismatic presence who lights up any room he enters’. We will also see James Phoon as Harry Dankworth, who according to makers ‘lacks in wit and intelligence, but he makes up for it with seriously good looks”. Oooh… We know who we have our eye on this season!
And finally, we will also get to see Sam Phillips from The Crown, who will play the role of Lord Debling who will be a ‘genial lord with unusual interests and with no shortage of interest from young ladies this season’. Besides these new cast members and their individual plotlines, we will also see how the old rift with Eloise unfolds.
While we don’t have an official date yet, we’re hearing whispers from the grapevine that Bridgerton season 3 will premiere sometime in summer next year. So for now, all that’s left to do is plan Bridgerton-themed parties with our besties and eagerly wait for its return!
