This year, Easter is being celebrated by people inside their homes due to the ongoing lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic. Also called Resurrection Day, it is believed that on this day, Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday and it is believed that it was on Easter Sunday (third day of the crucifixion) when he rose from the dead. Easter Sunday, therefore, is celebrated as the triumph of eternal life over death.
While churches across the nation are shut due to the outbreak, some of them live-streamed the services including Pope Francis from St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City. Even though we can’t go out and celebrate the holiday, we can surely spread some positivity on this day of hope, and that’s exactly what our Bollywood celebrities are doing!
