Bollywood has always been the hub of sensational news. And today, with the verdict of Salman Khan’s blackbuck case, we even caught the entry of the superstar into the Jodhpur Central Jail. He has been found guilty in the 1998 case, while his co-stars got away scot-free.
This is not the only incident that has caught a Bollywood actor on the wrong side of the law. The verdict today brings to light every other celebrity who has been accused of criminal charges. We made a list of 10 such Bollywood stars who’ve had a brush with the law, guilty or not.
1. Rajpal Yadav
The comedian was kept in judicial custody for 10 days for concealing facts about a Rs 5 crore recovery suit filed against him and his wife by a Delhi-based businessman when they failed to pay back a loan.
2. Sanjay Dutt
After the Mumbai serial blasts, the actor was arrested under the Arms Act. A 23-year-long on and off relationship with the law followed, and he served a 42-month prison time through the years.
3. Sonali Bendre
She was arrested for posing in a loose shirt, bare-legged on a magazine cover with religious symbols printed on it. She was also a part of Salman Khan’s blackbuck case as a spectator but wasn’t convicted of the same.
4. Shiney Ahuja
He was given seven years in prison by the high court for allegedly raping his domestic help. But she was then declared hostile and he was let out on wrongful conviction.
5. Fardeen Khan
The actor was arrested in an attempt to buy a gram of cocaine in 2001 but he wasn’t jailed, instead was asked to visit a rehab.
6. John Abraham
His need for speed got him into trouble when the actor was accused of causing an accident and injuring two people. He was asked to spend 15 days in jail. Instead, John Abraham just paid a bail of Rs. 1,500.
7. Monica Bedi
The yesteryear actress served two years in a jail in Portugal for forging her travel documents. She also faced legal troubles for her ties to the underworld and the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.
8. Saif Ali Khan
The Nawab got into a fight at Taj in Mumbai with a South African businessman who filed an FIR for assault against him. Obviously, he was let out on bail. Do you see a pattern here? P.S. He’s been let out scot-free in the blackbuck case as well.
9. Akshay Kumar & Twinkle Khanna

This star couple faced a case for public obscenity when Twinkle Khanna opened Akshay Kumar’s denim’s button during a Levis ramp show. Though it was done with consent, the issue was blown out of proportion and the actors were arrested.
