Ever wondered why Bigg Boss happens to be such a popular show in India? Well, we are of the belief that it is not just the contestants of the show that undertake the journey each year but we do too. With every season, we hate some contestants, tolerate others, and get attached to a few of them. It is these hero contestants who define the show for us. As we go on watching the show, every single day for weeks at an end, all of it also starts to feel real. We cry with these contestants, laugh when they laugh, and can emotionally associate with their journey. This is exactly why the heartbreak is also real when one of our favorites leaves the house. That said, some of these evictions are more jolting than the others and today we looking at seven such eliminations that left us pretty shaken. Read on:
Aly Goni
In season 14, Aly Goni entered the Bigg Boss house at a time when Jasmin Bhasin really needed him. She was feeling super lost and Aly’s entry instantly energised her game. However, a heartbreaking turn came with a twisted eviction task. Aly and Jasmine had to decide who would leave the show. Waterworks and a bevy of emotions ensued before Aly requested Jasmine to let him leave.
Jasmin Bhasin
Soon after his twisted eviction, Aly was asked to return to the Bigg Boss house. This time around he came with the intention of playing the game seriously and became the life of the house in no time. The audience was in love with his dhakad persona and no-nonsense attitude. However, we got to see a very different side of Aly when Jasmin had to leave the house in a very unexpected elimination. He broke down in tears the instant Salman Khan announced that Jasmin would be leaving the show and kept begging her not to leave. It was rather unnerving to see Aly being absolutely inconsolable and a lot of people cried with him that day including the host, Salman Khan.
Abhinav Shukla
Guess, season 14 of Bigg Boss was all about heartbreaking evictions and Abhinav Shukla’s was one of them as well. It left us absolutely dejected because the actor was eliminated by the relatives of his fellow housemates and not the audience. The eviction came at a rather mature stage in the game and it was disheartening to see Abhinav leave after all that he had endured on the show.
Mahira Sharma
Mahira Sharma just had a small BB dream–she wanted to make it to the season finale. However, she was evicted from the house just a step before the final week and was left visibly heartbroken. “Mera sapna poora nahi ho paaya,” she kept repeating while leaving the house and at that moment, our heart really went out to her.
Hiten Tejwani
Hetan Tejwani was one of those very rare Bigg Boss contestants who maintained his calm throughout the game, played with a lot of dignity, and still managed to be entertaining through it all. He was the only one who had a cordial relationship with everyone in the house and that is why it came across as a huge shock when he was voted out by his fellow contestants. Shilpa Shinde, who was one of his closest friends on the show, also decided to vote against him in a rather selfish moment. The pain could clearly be seen on Hiten’s face and it really broke out heart.
Kishwer Merchant
In a rather unfair Bigg Boss task, Prince Narula and Kishwer Merchant were thrown in a transparent dome. They had to stay inside and decide who among them will take Rs. 15 lakh cash and leave the game immediately. Even though Kishwer was a tough contender, Prince somehow convinced her into leaving the game for him. However, she did not harbour any ill will against him and asked him to win the show given that she had made a huge sacrifice for him. It was an emotionally charged eviction and to date, we feel like she could have won the show if she wasn’t forced to leave the house like that.
Arshi Khan
Okay, while not everyone really liked Arshi Khan, we can all agree that she was passionate about the show and took it really seriously. That’s exactly why it was kind of sad to see her dejected expressions when Salman announced that she will be leaving the show. While she did manage to make a re-entry to the BB house in season 14, she was again evicted ‘coz of insufficient votes. It was equally heartbreaking this time around.
