It’s been a week full of twists and turns in the Big Boss house, and we’re expecting more drama to surface tonight. From Karan Johar hosting the show to the captain changing from Shiv Thakare to Archana Gautam , a lot of surprises kept us at the edge of our seats. In the last episode, Karan Johar announced a Mann Ki Safai task at the end of the show. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was the first contestant picked to be punished by fellow contestant MC Stan. In last night’s promo video, we also see that both Shalin Bhanot and Priyanka are on the receiving end of a lot of opinions and water sprays in the Mann Ki Safai task. Tonight, we’re will find out more about how this task plays out.
Here’s every live detail of Day 23 of Big Boss 16.
9:30 PM
Karan explained the Mann Ki Safai task. KJo says that each contestant has to come up front and choose another contestant who they think needs to clean their mind. Karan first calls up MC Stan and he says that Priyanka needs her mind cleaned because he thinks her nazar is bad. Therefore, Priyanka comes up on stage and MC Stan sprays her with a water hose.

Abdu goes for Archana and Manya and Soundrya go for each other. They have an argument and both accuse each other of not understanding each other well

While Gautam goes for Shalin, Nimrit accuses Priyanka for interfering in others’ matters. A few minutes later, Tina also accuses Priyanka and says she tries to become everyone’s mother.

Priyanka goes for Shiv and says that if he can keep clear thoughts, he would be able to guide his ‘group’ better. Ankit goes for Gori and he gives her foul language as the reason.

In a shocking turn, Sumbul goes for Shalin but doesn’t give any solid reason. KJo tells her not to take the task as a joke and asks her to take another name. Sumbul then takes Manya’s name and says she needs to understand everyone better. Shalin, on the other hand, takes Gautam’s name. At the end, Priyanka is declared as the person who needs to do her ‘man ki safai’.

Shalin and Shiv get into an argument. Meanwhile, the rest of the BB contestants are back in their cliques discussing affairs. Sajid and Nimrit are cleaning dishes and talking about how contestants are selected for Big Boss. MC Stan, Shiv, and Gori are back in their room talking about couples in the house and make comments on Salman Khan.

Sumbul and Tina are cooking while Shalin stops by. Tina gets suggestive about a workout exercise to Shalin and they joke about being vulgar verses unromantic. Abdu creates some mug art which reads ‘Shalin loves T’ and jokes about it saying Shalin loves Tina.

Nimrit talks to Gautam about politics in the house. It’s a heated confrontation and tells Gautam that if she is not a priority to someone then she will not prioritize anyone. She says everyone has their priorities straight and Gautam isn’t treating her as a good friend. Gautam tries to speak his truth but Nimrit says he does not give her any quality time.

Gautam talks to Soundarya about what Nimrit said. The two contestants also get into an argument. Gautam says he is getting stuck in the middle. They later get together again and try to converse in a better manner. Gautam tells Soundarya that she needs to stay cool in this situation with Nimrit.

Gautam and Soundarya talk about Shalin and how he gets physical which is a little sus. They discuss how Shalin is a bit too comfortable with Sumbul and Tina but his behaviour is getting like that with Soundarya too. Gautam then talks to Nimrit about the matter and he contemplates if it is too early to judge anyone. Nimrit and Gauatm talk about that and also discuss about how they are feeling in the BB house.

Gautam and Soundarya are in their rooms talking and suddenly they start arguing. Soundarya tells him not to talk to her in such a manner and Gautam says he has a right to do so because he has taken up for her a lot. The two are arguing but still maintain a lower tone since everyone seems to be asleep. They then go to the washroom and continue talking.

Karan Johar is back. All the contestants are in their Diwali attire and looking fabulous. Karan addresses a love story happening in the house. He asks Shiv who is he referring to to which Shiv responds ‘Gautam and Soundarya’. The conte4stants then speculate the alleged couple are talk in the sheets and in the washroom as well privately. Archana also weighs in with her opinions about what is going on between the two. KJo asks Tina what is going on between the alleged couple and says it is a love-hate relationship.
10: 14 PM
KJo asks Nimrit about the relationship. Nimrit says sparks are flying and the ball is in Soundarya’s court. KJo says the alleged couple start with fights in the morning and as the day progresses, they start to get along and after interacting with all the contestants through the day, they wear their mics and get in the washroom. KJo asks Gautam and Soundarya why they wear their mics and get into the washroom. He says that this relationship is just for the cameras because if this relationship was legit, they wouldn’t wear their mics and talk privately.

Soundarya tries to clarify to KJo what is happening and she says this relationship is not an act. She says that this relationship is new and so we will see how it goes. Gautam too says that this relationship is 100% true.

KJo shares a clip of Manya. Manya says that when Soundarya got some idea that Gautam has some power in the house, she said she tried to play the victim card with him and started saying that Shalin is acting funny with her. She basically disses Soundarya giving instances where she is playing Gautam.

Soundarya responds. She says she doesn’t know Manya but maybe Manya knows her. She says Manya is jealous of her because of their previous interactions outside the BB house. She continues to say that whatever is happening between Gautam and her is pure. Meanwhile, both Manya and Shalin try to interject and the three begin to argue. Karan cuts them off and asks Soundarya to continue and finish what she has to say. Then, Karan tries to say what he thinks and what other contestants think while Soundarya tries to cut him off. Karan calls the relationship a fraud. KJo says Gautam is behind this fraud relationship and he says no one is interested in this relationship and no one likes this fake tv relationship plot, not event the audience.

Karan puts the pressure on Gautam. Karan asks Gauatm about Gautam calling Soundarya a free-spirited woman and tells Karan that what he meant by free-spirited is not respectful. Gautam tries to clear the accusation. Karan calls out Gautam saying this is misogynistic and also chauvinistic. Karan notices a pattern and exposes how Gautam is playing many of the contestants in the house. He recalls the train task and more. Shalin tries to interject saying he is not okay when a girl wrongfully accuses him of inappropriate touching.

KJo addresses Shalin. Karan says that if Big Boss thought you were being inappropriate with female contestants, then he would have brought it up. Karan told him not to worry. Karan also told Gautam that trying to strategize relationships to win BB is not going to work. Karan responds heatedly to Gautam being a misogynistic. Soundarya clarified that Gautam seems genuine to her but she isn’t okay if there is anything misogynistic happening here. Soundarya also says that she is glad Karan brought this up and she and Gautam both need this talk.

Karan tells Nimrit that she started in the BB house strong but now she is getting lost with Gauatm and losing her hold in the game. Karan tells the contestants to be careful and chose relationships mindfully. A fight instantly breaks out between Soundarya and Manya as soon as Karan signs off to take a break. The two are yelling at each other. Soundarya and Manya are in different rooms yet they yell about each others characters. Meanwhile, Nimrit, Tina, and Archana are trying to console Gautam in the kitchen. Archana takes Gautam aside and tells him to leave everybody and get serious about winning in this competition.

Soundarya starts talking about Gautam calling her a free-spirited woman. Shalin also tries to console Gautam inspite of Shalin himself also being targeted in this issue. Now, Archana tells Soundarya the same thing she told Gautam. Archana tells Soundarya to leave Gautam that this relationship isn’t worth it.

Tina and Shalin tell Gautam that this relationship with Soundarya isn’t for Big Boss. Shalin tells Gautam that if he thinks the relationship is genuine, pursue it outside Big Boss.

KJo announces that he is going to do Dimag Ki Batti Jalao task. Archana is up and she chooses Gautam needs some enlightenment. Manya also chooses Gautam who needs his brain enlightened. Gori chooses Ankit. Shiv chooses Priyanka. MC Stan also chooses Priyanka. Abdu chooses Gori because she gets angry and fights. Sajid chooses two people, Manya and Soundarya. Priyanka chooses MC Stan. Ankit chooses Gori. Sumbul chooses MC Stan. Shalin chooses Tina. Tina chooses Sumbul. Gautam chooses Nimrit. Soundarya chooses Manya and they continue to argue. Soundarya also chooses Shalin and explains why. Manya interjects after Soundarya is done talking and Soundarya and Manya start fighting again. Kjo tries to break up the fight.

Nimrit chooses Priyanka and explains why. Nimrit clears accusations that Priyanka said about her and Priyanka tries to clarify. Priyanka is the lead in this task as well as a majority of contestants chose her to be punished in this task. Karan talks about a big dhamaka. The dhamaka is that someone is getting evicted.
