Satisfying Skincare: 4 Skincare Accounts To Follow On Instagram RN

I love all things skincare — and I love it more when it’s delivered to me in 30-second reels headlining my Instagram algorithm. Even at midnight, I’m just online, watching moisture-brimming serums trickle down people’s faces. And savouring visuals of ice globes colliding against each other in a delectable series of clicks and taps is another guilty pleasure of mine. I must sound insane to you, but I’m sure you’re going to find yourself hooked to these videos once you’re through with this story. I’ve rounded up 4 of the best skincare accounts on Instagram to follow ASAP, and turn your feed into a pool of sleep-inducing content full of skincare tips and hacks.

4 Skincare Accounts Worth Following On Instagram

@glowyamelie

I’m starting off with my favourite. Amelia’s account is therapeutic, and that’s the bottom line. Her 40-second snippets feature cocktails of skin-loving formulas, masks, and creams delivering bouts of hydration to her face. It’s almost like your skin is living vicariously through hers. She complements her videos with accentuated ASMR-like sounds to play into the aesthetic of her content; and reviews products, puts techniques like slugging to the test, indulges in skincare routines for acne-prone skin, and dabbles in makeup-related content featuring eye-glitter, gel-liners and lip-tints (very cute ones) every now and then.

@mireyarios

Mireya’s account isn’t exclusive to skincare, but her content is pretty unique — from testing out avocado-infused butt scrubs to tossing her blenders into a very tiny washing machine, her account is addictive. If you’re fond of makeup as well, she experiments with a lot of hacks — just the other day, I watched her customise a foundation, and test lip-plumping techniques with nothing more than a liner.

@glamwithdarcey

I’m pretty sure Darcey’s account was one of the first I stumbled upon — I watched her ritualise the act of self-love through skincare, and decided to invest a little bit of my time in putting together a routine for myself. And, of course, my obsession with under-eye patches comes from here. There’s one thing I love about her content, and it’s how she employs the most exaggerated sound effects in the background. A mere application of a mask is complemented by dramatic swishes and swirls. If you’re a Euphoria-enthusiast, she does a lot of content centred around the show.

Karen’s aesthetic is similar to Darcey’s; so if you’re looking for something just like that, this is another account to follow—from face polishes to lip-scrubs, she tries it all. And she does some content around nails too.

Okay. I must warn you against indulging in these visually-pleasing, mind-soothing videos during the day. Because once you start, I’m afraid there’s no stopping!
