It’s no secret that the entire beauty team is obsessed with all things makeup. From glitter clad lids to seamlessly contoured cheekbones, we all have our personal favourites too. However, some things are commonly tiresome no matter how much you love them. Removing your makeup, for instance. While we love trying different makeup trends, and getting all glammed up for the smallest event, taking that makeup off is a big pain. Not only do we have to see our artwork getting wiped off within minutes, but those minutes can turn tiresome real quick with waterproof and long-lasting makeup. In our journey of discovering heavy-duty makeup formulas that last for long hours, we were accompanied by our makeup BFFs – trusty makeup removers.

I love including vitamin C in my skincare routine everywhere, and finding Vitamin C micellar water was an absolute win. Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water instantly removes my makeup effortlessly and leaves my skin clean and balanced. Because it is enriched with vitamin C, it also makes my skin brighter and reduces the appearance of blemishes and dark spots. I think this will be a constant favourite.

It may sound bizarre to some people to think that I actually remove my makeup with olive oil. Nope, not the one from my kitchen but this olive oil-infused cleansing oil. I had heard a lot about the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil but tried it firsthand only earlier this year when the brand launched in India. It’s now a staple in my beauty routine because it’s gentle in removing my makeup yet gets all the grime, dirt and product out beautifully. I use it as a part of my double cleanse whenever I apply makeup- this helps me get rid of oil-based impurities like makeup, sebum and sunscreen and then go in with my foam cleanser to get rid of pollution, sweat and dirt. Just take two-three pumps of it on your dry hands, activate the product by rubbing it between your palms and then work it on your dry face in circular motions to dissolve your makeup. Do this for about 30 seconds and then go in with a makeup removing towel or directly with a foaming cleanser and your skin is squeaky clean!

My favourite makeup remover has to be the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. Its soft texture dissolves the makeup quickly and offers an effortless process. Moreover, it doesn’t sting my eyes like many other makeup removers out there and doesn’t break me out either. I’ve been using it for years, and it’s still my favourite.

I like oily textures to help remove stubborn makeup, and this one by Forest Essentials is an absolute favourite. Its smooth formula just glides over my makeup, and then I just need gentle massaging to dissolve my makeup. None of that harsh rubbing is required, no matter how waterproof my mascara is. Adding to cart every month!

Elf holy hydration Makeup Melting Balm. Yes, it’s soft, gentle, and comforting as they sound, and that’s what I love about it. This makeup remover goes from balm to oily to a milky consistency while you wash it. It’s a solid option for removing every little stench of makeup. Concentrate little, circular motions over the eyelids and lashes to get rid of even the most budge-proof mascara.

This is one of my favourite makeup removers as it removes my makeup with so much ease. It first melts the makeup off my face as I massage the oil on dry skin. And then when I rinse it with water, the oil turns to a cleansing milk texture which clears my skin of all the makeup, leaving it clear and hydrated.
