Three days. Three awards. Lots of (beauty) trends. I’m still playing catch-up (phew). From Kiara and Alia in India to Zendaya in the U.S.A, my favourites have done it again. They’ve single-handedly brought back old-school beauty trends or invented new ones on the carpet, and I’m here for it.
Here’s every trend that I spotted at the awards that took place this month.
Body Shimmers Are Cool Again
Kiara Advani’s post-wedding glow was a little too literal. Mrs. Malhotra dripped in shimmer, like she’d just layered on a glow-inducing oil onto the collarbones, legs, shoulders, and décolletage. The result was a goddess-level glow that reflected light gloriously.
Kohl-Rimmed Eyes Made A Comeback
Kriti and Akansha have both announced their love for heavy kohl-rimmed eyes on two different nights. While Sanon’s look was darker and edgy, Akansha subdued the kohl with some gold on the lids.
Side Swept Hair Became The IT-Girl Staple
Pooja and Alia made side-swept hair the IT-girl staple and styled their hair in waves too. Overseas, Zendaya did much of the weightlifting. But she styled the part with a bob.
The Bob Replaced Hair Buns & Braids
Speaking of Zendaya, she quickly turned the bob into a sensation overnight at the NAACP Awards. The actress wore the chocolate-brown ‘do in classic curls, exuding old-Hollywood glamour.
Cat Eye Flicks Made An Appearance In Reverse
Bhumi once again made a case for reverse winged eyeliner. Pednekar has sported the look at another functions too.
