Athiya’s wedding outfits have become a lookbook for brides-to-be. The pastel lehenga, the vintage anarkali, and her gorgeous kanjivaram saree, she really did nail it with the variety. But what I loved most was her unconventional pantsuit!
Once the sangeet was over, there was an after-party and Athiya kept it fuss-free in a 3-piece pantsuit that she paired with sneakers. How cool! Featuring embellished pearls and sequins, the outfit was designed by Anjul Bhandari and it’s perfect to dance the night away.
Athiya’s all-white OOTN has paved the way for 2023 brides to try something new and I’ve got some recommendations for you. If dancing is your main agenda, then scroll down!
1. Chikankari Pantsuit
Guys, I’ve found the perfect (almost) dupe for Athiya’s pantsuit. This 3-piece chikankari suit from Torqadorn is perfect for summer shaadis. Add a pop of colour with an emerald choker or wear an unconventional hair piece for major bridechilla vibes!
2. Embroidered Jumpsuit
I am majorly into bling and pop colours when it comes to wedding outfits and this jumpsuit from Kalki is just that. Apart from the gorgeous zari and sequin work, I like how fuss-free this outfit is. Pick it up for your haldi or mehendi ceremony!
3. Pantsuit With Cape Sleeves
If basic is not your thing, this mint set from Mala and Kinnary should be on your wishlist. For an intimate welcome dinner, pair it with dainty danglers and a neat bun for a chic look. The 3D embroidery and cape sleeves are enough to make a statement.
4. Pre-Draped Saree
This pre-draped saree from Aarke by Ritu Kumar is a perfect mix of style and comfort. It’s got a zip closure for those who hate the hassle of a saree and that belt just ties the whole look together. I would totes wear it for my own function, if I were getting married!
5. Contemporary Jumpsuit
I can’t get over this stunning jumpsuit by Vara by Vibha & Priti. The flowy silhouette in a beautiful wine shade is my fave. If you don’t want to go overboard with your wedding outfits, this is a great pick.
6. Palazzo Set
Do away with draping a saree with this palazzo set from trueBrowns. It’s perfect for brides who prefer comfort over style and that plunging neckline adds a hint of sexy. Complete the look with a pair of statement earrings and metallic stilettoes.
7. Dhoti Set
This dhoti-style saree from Alaya By Stage 3 is perfect for a day function. The bright yellow will look fab in photographs and it’s a great pick for the mehendi ceremony. You can get the henna on your feet and dance away till the sun goes down!
Athiya Shetty has set a trend and I’m here for it. Whether I get married this year or not, I’m adding a pansuit to my collection fosho!
