Athiya’s grandma was right to pass down this DIY home remedy for chapped lips to her. Coffee powder not only makes for a great exfoliating agent, but it also brightens the skin on the lips, making it perfect for pigmented lips. Rose water on the other hand helps soothe the lips and keeps them hydrated and smooth.
To make this scrub, add a teaspoon of coarse coffee powder or leftover coffee grounds to a bowl. Mix this with a small amount of rose water, which will be enough to make a paste. Adjust the consistency according to your preference. Apply this mixture on your lips with your fingers and massage in circular motions. Rinse it off with water and moisturise with a lip balm.
