Nia Sharma’s entry in Bigg Boss OTT last night changed the entire scenario of the house. Half of the gharwalas want to make a connection with her and the others are observing her closely. Well, we knew this would happen when we found out that she was going to be a part of the show along with Rhea Chakraborty and Ankita Lokhande. We were expecting to see them in the main BB house soon, but things didn’t turn out the way we thought. While the Naagin actress entered as a wild card, Ankita confirmed that she wouldn’t be a part of the show at all.
The Manikarnika actress took to her social media handle recently and shared that she had no plans of participating in Bigg Boss. She also asked the netizens to stop trolling her unnecessarily for it and said, “The rumours of my participation are baseless. People have been quick to send me their hatred for something that I’m not even a part of.”
Rhea and Ankita had dated late actor Sushant Singh Rajput at different points. Both the ladies were at loggerheads for a while after his death. Ankita’s fans wondered if her decision not to enter the BB house was because of her feud, but she denied such claims. During a recent interview with a leading daily, she said, “I was never a part of it ever. I frankly love to watch Bigg Boss but I don’t think I can be a part of it.”
When asked if she regretted spoiling her equation with the Chehre actress, Ankita said that she never knew her personally. She said, “I don’t know this girl, so what will I say? I didn’t even know about Sushant and Rhea’s relationship. I’ve never spoken about her anyway. God bless her wherever she is. Maine kisi se koi relation nahi bigaada hai kyunki mere kisi se relation the hi nahi. Mera jisse tha, maine uske liye stand liya (I have not spoiled my relationship with anyone because there was no relation in the first place to begin with. I defended the relationship that I had). I have no regrets.”
After SSR’s sudden demise, Ankita has been trolled on social media for several ridiculous reasons. From receiving flak for celebrating her birthday with beau Vicky Jain to starring opposite Shaheer Sheikh in Pavitra Rishta 2.0, netizens questioned all her decisions. While talking about it, she said, “I can’t do anything. There is nothing in my hand. Logo ko lagta hai tab mujhe woh devi banaa dete hai, logo ko lagta hai tab mujhe utaar dete hai (When people feel like it, they treat me like a Goddess, when they don’t, they take me off that pedestal).”
Well, we are glad that the actress does not let the social media negativity get to her. While it’s disappointing that we won’t be seeing her in Bigg Boss, we are quite excited to watch her in Pavitra Rishta 2.0 from September 15 on Zee5!
