The coronavirus pandemic seems to be getting scarier by the day with numbers rising at an exponential rate. Yesterday, we saw 27,114 new cases in a day, the biggest-ever spike in daily cases, which has taken the total number of coronavirus cases to 8,22,603. The death toll is at 22,144. Maharashtra saw the biggest one-day spike of 7,862 cases in the last 24 hours.
Actor Amitabh Bachchan also tested positive for coronavirus and took to Twitter last night to share his medical results. He also mentioned that he has been admitted in Nanavati Hospital and wrote that all the members of his family, as well as staff, have undergone tests but the results are yet to come. He even requested that everyone he has come in contact with in the past ten days should get tested.
Soon after Big B shared the news with the world, Abhishek Bachchan also revealed that he has been tested positive for coronavirus. Abhishek too has been admitted to Nanavati hospital with mild symptoms. He requested everyone to not panic and stay calm through this time.
Now, reportedly even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, 46, and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, 8, have also tested positive for coronavirus. However, other members of the Bachchan family namely Jaya Bachchan, Agastya Nanda, Navya Naveli Nanda, and Shweta Nanda have tested corona negative.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope took to Twitter to share the news. He tweeted, “Smt. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Daughter Aaradhya Abhishek Bacchan have also been detected positive for Covid19. Smt. Jaya Bachchan ji is tested negative for covid19. We wish the Bachchan Family to get well soon with a speedy recovery.”
Earlier in May, Aishwarya had even shared Aaryadhya’s artwork on social media where she thanked COVID-19 frontline warriors.
Soon after the news was shared, Twitter was flooded with celebrities sending their love and best wishes to the Bachchans
From Rajkummar Rao, Anupam Kher, Bhumi Pednekar and Mahesh Babu to Priyanka Chopra, Manoj Bajpayee and Sonu Sood wishing them a speedy recovery.

Fans have been writing notes and messages to the Bachchan family and filling Twitter with positive wishes.
On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan’s debut digital web-show Breathe season 2 released on the OTT platform recently. In fact, he was seen visiting the dubbing studio in Andheri, Mumbai recently.
