The Ambani pre-wedding festivities have been the only thing on my feed for the past three days. The who’s who from Bollywood and the world descended upon this event, turning it into a veritable runway of haute couture and trend-setting makeup looks.
The festivities have unfurled a crazy amount of beauty looks that could very well set the tone for bridal trends in the coming months. Scrolling through every picture and soaking in every detail, from subtle nudes to bold corals – here are the easiest looks to re-create, which also happen to be our personal favs.
Nita Ambani’s makeup by Mickey Contractor was a masterclass in subtlety, featuring a sharp kajal and nude tones that matched her skin perfectly. This second-skin makeup highlighted her features without overwhelming her traditional attire, showcasing an understanding of balance and elegance; her hair was left open, adding a soft, approachable dimension that tied the look together.
Alia Bhatt’s look by Sandhya Shekar sported a coral, peachy makeup look that contrasted beautifully with her outfit. The warmth of the coral hues brought out the vibrancy in her ensemble, while the beach waves in her hair added a more relaxed vibe. As usual, this look was quintessentially Alia.
Sara Ali Khan’s makeup by Adrian Jacobs, featured pink, glossy lips and a dewy finish that illuminated her face. The dewy makeup was a standout, especially when paired with glitter eyeshadow that accentuated her large, expressive eyes.

Kareena Kapoor’s makeup by Pompy Hans emphasised a bronzed glow, focusing on accentuating her award winning cheekbones. The look complemented her outfit by adding a touch of warmth; the continuity of the bronzer across her cheeks, eyes, and nose, paired with a nude matte lip, created a polished look full of depth.
Karishma Kapoor’s look, also by Kritika Gill, was defined by kohled eyes that emphasised her natural eye color, creating a stunning contrast. The light peach matte lip and a no makeup-makeup finish provided a subtle backdrop, allowing her eyes to be the centre of attention.
Every single one of Janhvi Kapoor’s looks rocked my world. From dimensional eyeshadow that gave her eyes a remarkable depth to colour coordinating her lipsticks with her outfits – her makeup artist Riviera Lynn really has an eye for colour and the skill to pull the exact shade of lipstick as Janhvi’s outfits, out of the thousands that exist.
