For a 90s kid like me, actress Juhi Chawla needs no introduction. Movies like Darr, Yes Boss, Ishq, Mr & Mrs Khiladi, Phir Bhi Dil Hain Hindustani are a few examples of her contribution to Indian cinema. Most recently, she was seen in the Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Apart from being an ace actress, Juhi is also a mother, and her latest post on Instagram was a happy reminder of that.
Yesterday, the 51-year-old celebrity posted a picture of her daughter, Jahnavi Mehta, on the occasion of her school farewell and we can’t believe she is already so big!
She wrote, “Jahnavi at her school farewell chapel … happy and sad both at the same time … 💕💕💕.”

About Jahnavi Mehta – Age, School & Family
Born on 21 February 2001, Jahnavi is an 18-year-old genius who just graduated from Charterhouse School in Surrey, England. Earlier she was a student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai and moved to the UK-based boarding school last year.
She’s the first daughter of Juhi Chawla and her husband of 24 years Jay Mehta, who is a successful business tycoon. Jahnavi has a brother named Arjun who is two years younger than her, also pursuing schooling from Charterhouse.
Juhi has been very vocal about her parenting skills. In an interview a few years ago, she shared how she manages her life as a working mom in the film industry. She said, “There have been times when I have to travel for work and children are at home without any family member. I do have a lot of staff, but having family around is comforting. So sometimes my in-laws step in to help.”
She went on to add, “I don’t want to be in every film and go to work every day. I like to spend time with my family or doing social work. But my work is also important and it gives me a little zing in my life.”
An Academic Brilliance
Both Jahnavi and Arjun have stayed away from the limelight, but first caught the media’s attention when Juhi posted about her firstborn’s brilliance. When Jahnavi was in Dhirubhai Ambani International School, she was among the 10 students to get 10 straights As in the academic year of 2016-2017. No wonder she got into the prestigious boarding school!
Career Plans
Unlike other star kids, Jahnavi has always maintained a low-key profile. You will hardly find any pictures of her online, other than the ones shared by her or her mother on Instagram. Speaking of which, Juhi has never expressed any desire of Jahnavi joining Bollywood. She had earlier said that Jahnavi might be interested in becoming a writer instead of following her mother’s footsteps. In fact, both her kids have seen only a few of her films!
The Historic Case of IPL Auction, 2018
Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan have not only been co-actors and friends but also co-owners of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. Now, Jahnavi might not have made a lot of appearances in the stands supporting and cheering for her mom’s team but she participated in the player auction of 2018. Not just that, she is now the youngest bidder at IPL auctions in history.
Jahnavi made bids so smartly that Bollywood actress, Juhi’s friend and the owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab, Preity Zinta felt intimidated by the then 16-year-old. When they met at the auction, Preity took the opportunity to take a selfie with the little one and posted it on Twitter saying:

Apart from travelling, Jahnavi is also a fan of Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Deepika Padukone. In an interview, Juhi had said that she finds her daughter’s fondness of junior Dhawan funny as she remembers how a young Varun accompanied his dad David Dhawan to the sets when Juhi was the lead in his films. Now, it’s amusing to see her daughter head-over-heels in love with Varun.
