Princes come to get their princesses on horse carriages. But superheroes are always one step ahead, just like this groom who came to get his bride on a Batmobile. Nope, I’m not kidding, he really did! Meet Ravine Mahtani and Mira Uttam – a couple who set one too many goals with their gorgeous Bangkok wedding, shot expertly by DotDusk. Although my job requires me to go through hundreds of wedding pictures on a daily basis, it is safe to say that this wedding was something I’ve never seen before. Here are some things that made it all that extra special.
1. The gorgeous decor
One thing that immediately comes to notice in all the wedding pictures, from all the functions is the stunning decor. The themes had been planned and styled beautifully by Sarasa by Mashu and executed to perfection by Design by PeeraPach. Cannot stop admiring it!
2. The bride’s oh-so-pretty outfits
And there is not one, not two but five stunning outfits. For the engagement, Mira opted for a marsala coloured Manish Malhotra gown, which made her look like a princess.
Her mehendi outfit was by Manish Malhotra again, a gorgeous and intricately designed grey gown with a long train. Her makeup for all the functions was done by Natasha Moor.
The sangeet night is all about going glam, and Mira took it very seriously. She opted for a dark blue Sabyasachi lehenga and accessorised with classy diamond jewellery. The groom Ravine complemented her in a stunning colour coordinated sherwani. What a couple!
And then came the D-Day, for which Mira decided to go for an ivory coloured Sabyasachi lehenga. Since it was a day wedding, I am glad she chose a very light coloured lehenga and kept it minimal yet elegant.
It seems our beautiful bride has a particular love for whites and pastels. That is why she opted for another ivory coloured gown for her reception. Her hubby stood in stark contrast to her in an embroidered black ensemble, and they were just killing it together!
3. Butterfly ceiling for the mehendi
Oh, this was my favourite and the most mesmerizing part of the wedding decor. Designed by Sarasa by Mashu, this butterfly themed mehendi decor just took my breath away! How pretty!!!! I want!
4. LED sneakers themed party, anyone?
Let’s rock the party! Put on your dancing shows (LED sneakers) and break the dance floor!
5. Meet Bros in the house!!!
The singer duo Meet Bros gave a power-packed performance at the sangeet celebrations, and I can only imagine how much fun it would’ve been!
6. Here comes the baraat! Oh wait, colour-coordinated baraat!
The theme for all the baraatis seemed to be yellow and black, but it was after seeing what came next that I realised why the baraat was being so bright and sunny!
7. Welcome the groomie! Hey Batman, didn’t see you there!!!
Yes, this happened!!! Ravine actually came to get his dulhaniya on a Batmobile! A freaking BATMOBILE!!! And it had Rav’s Baraat customized onto it. Best. Groom. Entry. Ever! Take a bow Ravine, take a bow!
So these were some things that I loved about the #RaRa wedding! Which part was your favourite?!
