From Alia Bhatt’s much-celebrated Met Gala debut to Priyanka Chopra taking over Hollywood, our desi gworls have been making us proud. Just recently, another B-town diva’s name got added to this list!
Anushka Sharma is all set to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year and we can’t wait to see her at the red carpet. She will be heading to the French Riviera later in the month of May to honour women in cinema and will be performing alongside the uber-talented Kate Winslet! Wohoo!
French Ambassador Emmanuel Lenaine recently took to his Twitter to share this exciting update. “A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma. I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka’s trip to #CannesFilmFestival,” read the caption. Here, take a look:

All About The Cannes Film Festival!
Founded by Robert Favre Le Bret in 1946, the invitation-only festival is held annually in May at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. Some of the highly appreciated movies are screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Its 76th edition this year will take place from May 16 to May 27 and two of the Indian films- Kennedy and Agra will get screened. The previous years have witnessed Sharmila Tagore, Aishwarya Rai, Vidya Balan, and Deepika Padukone among the jury for the prestigious film festival. Bollywood biggies like Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Pooja Hegde, Hina Khan, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Aditi Rao Hydari have also walked the red carpet in recent years as part of luxury brand deals.
