Remember when Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he wanted to marry Alia Bhatt in 2020 itself? Yeah, we were legit jumping with joy and cursing the pandemic (even more) for delaying one of the most awaited weddings of Bollywood. “It (the wedding) would have already been sealed if the pandemic hadn’t hit our lives. But I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal soon in my life,” said Ranbir while talking to film critic Rajeev Masand in a recent interview.
Well, these lines were enough to make all of us wonder exactly how ‘soon’ the lovebirds were planning to tie the knot. And, it turns out that there’s something more that will get fans of the Brahmastra couple excited AF! Recently, a few videos have been doing rounds on the internet where Neetu Kapoor could be seen prepping for a dance performance on her son’s iconic song, Ghagra. Take a look:
That’s not all! Mommy Kapoor could be seen dancing with Rajendra Singh, fondly known as Master Ji in B-town. He’s an ace wedding choreographer and interestingly enough, he was spotted rehearsing with Neetu on the same song in October 2020 as well. TBH, these videos have set the rumour mills running and we are super excited about it!
But hold on! A little birdie revealed that the power couple are not planning to get married before the release of their movie Brahmastra. They said, “Indian weddings are like festivals and the prep doesn’t get over till the last minute. The family may have begun the preparations, but there is no shaadi happening this year. Also, the Indian audience still gets excited about stars dating, and believe it or not, it does add buzz to a film’s release. So, neither Ranbir or Alia are keen to dampen the buzz of their own movie after having invested so much of time and effort into Brahmastra.”
Well, this wouldn’t the first time when a couple would be dismissing a wedding rumour. However, we are sure that it is all going to be worth the wait. And BTW, we cannot wait to see Neetu Kapoor performance at her son’s wedding!
