Alia Bhatt revealed her entire morning skincare routine, and the moment I saw her vlog, I knew I would follow it. The products she used are pricey and go above my allocated skincare budget, but I’m not letting that stop me. So I checked out the products she uses and why she loves them so much to come up with budget-friendly dupes.
If you want Alia’s skincare products on a budget of just Rs 2k, I’ve got you covered. These product recommendations are as good as the real deal, and they leave my skin feeling cared for.
Step 1: Gentle Cleansers
Alia enjoys gentle cleansers and dislikes ones that strip her skin of moisture. She uses the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, which is also a dermatologist favourite. The face wash costs Rs 563 for a 250 ml bottle.
There are many hydrating and gentle face washes in the market with an affordable price tag, but the St. Botanica Goji Berry Face Wash is one of the best ones I’ve tried. It is priced at Rs 249.
Step 2: Ceramide Toning Mists
The Gangubai Kathiawadi star said that ceramides are her hero ingredient because it repairs skin barrier. She uses the BYOMA Balancing toning mist, which isn’t available in India and is priced at £11.99, roughly Rs 990.
Featuring Alia’s hero ingredient, ceramides and a price tag of just Rs 146, The Moms Co. Natural Ceramide Face Toner is my favourite dupe.
Step 3: Peptide Serums
Alia loves peptides since they make her skin plump and deliver a youthful glow. She uses peptides in serum form and swears by the Rhode Peptide Glazing Serum, which also isn’t available in India and is priced at a whopping $29.00 or Rs 2,396.
The best affordable peptide serum I’ve tried is the MyGlamm 1% Multi-Peptide Collagen Boosting Serum, and it’s currently available at a discounted price of only Rs 384. Talk about a steal deal!
Step 4: Ceramide Moisturiser
Alia doubles down on ceramides with a ceramide moisturising cream. She uses the In My Defence ceramide cream from homegrown brand D’you which is amazing but burns a hole in my pocket at Rs 3,500.
The Deconstruct Skin Soothe Moisturizer is one of the best affordable ceramide face creams I’ve tried in a while, and it retails at Rs 379.
Step 5: Lightweight Sunscreen
When it comes to sunscreen Alia herself said, ‘more is more, not less is more’.The star uses the ISDIN Fotoprotector Fusion Water Sunscreen SPF 50, which is a high-end product priced at Rs 1,980.
I have my go-to lightweight sunscreen as well. The POPxo Beach Bum Multi-Use Sunscreen Spray SPF 50 PA+++ is currently available on discount for Rs 261.
Step 6: Flavoured Lip Balms
The final step to Alia’s skincare routine is a lip balm. The star opts for Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment which makes her a clear fan of Hailey Bieber’s skincare line. The product is priced at $16.00, which converts to Rs 1,322.
The minty Pilgrim Squalane Peppermint Lip Balm is my favourite and it’s only Rs 225.
With these affordable product dupes, I managed to follow Alia’s skincare routine on a budget of just Rs 2000. And I’m even left with money to spare!
