When it comes to Bollywood’s lovestoriyan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s fairytale romance is surely our favourite. From manifesting a marriage on Koffee With Karan’s couch to most adorable pregnancy announcement, this couple always gives us some major #relationshipgoals. Alia and Ranbir started dating on the sets of their film Brahmastra but it wasn’t always fun and games for the two.
In fact, when they first started dating, Alia and Ranbir were worried about their director Ayan Mukerji’s reaction to their relationship and decided to keep things under wraps. At the launch of Brahmastra’s Deva Deva track, Ranbir revealed, “Alia, Ayan and I have spent so much time making Brahmastra that so much has changed in our lives over the years. In these years, whenever we met, Ayan would always be obsessing over Brahmastra. After every conversation, Ayan would always be directing our attention towards Brahmastra. At one point, when Alia and I had started dating, we couldn’t even tell Ayan that we’d started seeing each other, fearing that he would freak out.”
Ayan responded to Ranbir and shared, “I had a very mature reaction when Ranbir broke the news to me. I had to be at my best behaviour with my close friends.”
NGL, we are happy that Ayan was on-board with Ranbir and Alia’s relationship ‘coz we can’t imagine a world without #Ralia! After 4 years of dating, the couple tied the knot earlier this year in the most dreamy wedding.
Last month, on Koffee With Karan Season 7, Alia finally opened up on how she started dating Ranbir and revealed it all started on New Year’s eve. The Highway star shared, “It was not meant to happen. We were not supposed to be together on New Year’s. We both talked on our flight to Tel Aviv to do a workshop for Brahmastra. We both were seated together. I remember him walking in, and he was supposed to sit next to me, and I was very excited. But then he sat next to me, and something got stuck in his seat. There was some malfunction, so they were going to move him to another seat. And I was like, why is this happening, why is my dream getting shattered? But later, his seat got fixed, and he came back.”
NGL, Ranbir and Alia’s chemistry has already left us way too excited for Brahmastra. Until then, we are going to stalk Alia’s feed to obsess over her adorable snaps with RK.
