This might be the first time Akanksha Puri has entered the Bigg Boss house as a contestant but it feels like she has been a part of the reality show since season 13. Back then, a lot transpired in the house. While we witnessed the beginning of some epic love stories, there were a couple of them that ended on a bad note. In Bigg Boss 13, Punjabi star Himanshi Khurana literally broke her engagement to re-enter the house and reciprocate Asim Riaz’s love. Meanwhile, Paras Chhabra fell for Mahira Sharma despite having a girlfriend outside.
True BB followers know Akanksha was the girlfriend we are talking about. Well, the Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant has finally spoken about her public break-up and its impact.
“We Never Broke Up”
Akanksha and Jad Hadid have been flirting non-stop in the BB OTT 2 house. However, they drifted apart for a brief window when Akanksha got uncomfortable with the way he touched her and discussed it with Avinash Sachdev. In the latest episode, the actress had a conversation with Jad and tried to explain what went wrong while recollecting her painful past with paras.
“I get a little scared of the consequences. I told you I had a past on this show itself. I was not the participant, somebody else was who I was with at that time and we never broke up. When he came on the show, he started liking someone from Day 1, we never had a closure. But obviously, there were some things that he said were to demean me, disrespect me, and a lot of things he said on national television which were really not good. Since that day, till today, I’ve not been in a relationship because I get scared of relationships becoming an issue on television,” she shared.
Akanksha also told Jad that his touch made her uncomfortable ‘coz she is attracted to him and she didn’t want anything wrong to be conveyed on national television. The actress explained, “When there is a little liking, it becomes a little bit of tension, which I feel. I’m restricted.”
When Paras Put Akanksha In An Uncomfortable Situation
Bigg Boss season 13 legit started with Akanksha wholeheartedly supporting Paras and fighting for him in debates. In one of the episodes, she came as a celeb guest and even excused his endless flirting with Mahira by saying he was doing that just for the cameras. Soon after, Paras started talking against Akanksha and said he was forced to get her name tattooed on his arm. He even claimed that he tried to break up with her multiple times but she was the one holding on to the relationship. This is when Akasksha started posting cryptic notes about “moving on” and eventually gave up on Paras. Until now, we didn’t know exactly how they parted ways.
It’s really heartbreaking if Paras and Akanksha never really had an honest conversation on the topic. Everyone deserves a closure and we hope Akanksha gets one soon.
