There’s so much more to Aishwarya Rai than her grace and great looks.
Apart from being one of the most striking faces in the world (and Miss World 1994), she was a frontrunner in Hollywood. Not only did she make a mark at Cannes Film Festival, she was one of the first actors to bag advertising campaigns with international brands like Longines and L’Oreal.
But just like any other working mom, she balances her work along with being a full-time mother.
In a recent interview, the 44-year old actress revealed how she doesn’t have an army of staff to take care of her 6-year old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Despite being a celeb mom who has easy access to most comforts, it seems Aish has her daughter on top of the priority list. “I spend all my time with Aaradhya, and I have one nanny, by choice,” the actress said in an interview. “I read comments saying, ‘Ah, she must have an army of help’ and I understand the perception, but I choose this way, which means life is always busy,” she added.
If you think about it, Aaradhya is usually jet-setting with her mom on most of her trips. She is even a regular attendee at Cannes Film Festival and mommy Aish even made her walk the red carpet a few years back. More recently, the mother-daughter combo was spotted at the Ambani bash too.
The actress gave credit to her mom, Brindya Rai.
Speaking on how she sees her mother as a role model, Aishwarya said, “my mother is the only one I know inside out, so as a role model she’s the only one I choose to name – and it’s her values I’m imbibing consciously and subconsciously while raising my daughter.”
It’s not just her.
Former Miss Universe 1994, Sushmita Sen was lauded for sharing a moment with her second daughter, Alisah on Instagram.
Captioned as “I live for this feeling,” Sushmita earned comments from fans like “You are a role model for women and a loving mother.” Looks like celeb moms are changing the way the world looks at them and how!
