Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the brand ambassador of L’Oréal Paris. When she represents the brand in Cannes, her red carpet looks inspire trends. She has been making a splash at the renowned film festival for almost two decades now! So when the festival kickstarted this year, fans were waiting eagerly for the actress to make an appearance. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan finally graced the red carpet in a off-shoulder metallic gold gown by Jean-Louis Sabaji. While the jury is still out on her look (some liked it, others hated it), she did make heads turn when she finally graced the occasion.

Aishwarya strutted down the red carpet along with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. The former Miss World gets her daughter to the French Riviera every year and this has evolved into a tradition for the actress. She posted a few pictures of her red carpet look along with Aaradhya. A day before leaving for Cannes, Aaradhya gave her first public performance at the Summer Funk 2019, organised by Shiamak Davar’s Institute for Performing Arts. The Bachchan family came to cheer for Aaradhya who was performing at the event and recently Aishwarya posted selfies with her daughter and husband Abhishek Bachchan on the day of the event.

Aaradhya looked super cute in a pink dress and a pink bow. It’s an adorable family portrait. However, the netizens were more focused on how much makeup Aaradhya had applied on for the event. The comment section of Aishwarya’s Instagram picture was flooded by trolls shaming the actress for applying makeup on her daughter.
However, one of Aishwarya’s fans told the haters to mind their own business and stop calling out the actress for the way in which she chooses to bring up her daughter.
This is not the first time the Jodha Akbar actress has been mother-shamed on social media. The mother-daughter duo has been inseparable and is often spotted holding hands many times in public. Because of this, Aishwarya has even been trolled for being overprotective towards her daughter. Some social media users criticised Aishwarya for always holding Aaradhya’s hand. Netizens mercilessly trolled the actress for snatching away her little one’s confidence. Many advised Ash to ‘cut the umbilical cord’, while others even suggested that Aaradhya was not a normal child.
However, Aaradhya’s recent dance video was a rage on the internet and put a stop to all comments from haters that said that Aaradhya can’t walk properly.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will next be seen in Mani Ratnam’s period drama based on Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan.
