The moment we were waiting for has arrived. The OG desi fashionista at Cannes red carpet is back to the Film Festival and her first look just dropped. Are we impressed? Are we not? Let’s just say, it’s giving major “jaadugar” vibes. WTF do we mean by that? Read on!
When paps on foreign shores constantly address every other desi actor by your name, you are a big deal. That’s absolutely true for Aishwarya. At fashion-heavy events, it only makes sense that you dress the part. Aishwarya did not. She has left us high and dry with her first look from the Cannes Film Festival. The actress opted for a glittery green kaftan-style dress by Valentino. It features long cape sleeves and a wrap-over pleated detail at the front.
Our biggest problem here? The silhouette. It does nothing for the actress and just sits there like a glittery mess. The colour is nice but the glitter hurts our eyes.
Thank God for Aish’s shoes though ‘coz nothing else would have worked. Her face card didn’t fail her either. Aishwarya looks drop-dead gorgeous in fresh skin makeup and the nude lipstick is doing what it’s supposed to do.
Aish’s still got it. It’s clear. Probably she can trust her stylist a little more to wear costumes that flatter her instead of hiding her body. Aishwarya will always be gloriously beautiful no matter what size. It’s high time she throws caution to the wind and gives us the OG Aish once again. She has been missed!
